The speakers had to get up early Monday morning in order to get to the first school event in Bad Camberg. Directly after this one they got picked up and driven to Taunusstein where they had their second event the same morning. (In case you might be looking for the towns on a map: North-west of Frankfurt)
I got told that the students were very impressed by what they heard, moved by the stories and shocked. And even the day after the event the students had not stopped talking about it and the death penalty in general.
Early afternoon our speakers had to go on a 1.5 hour drive to Heidelberg where I was waiting for them already. First we went to the castle, where they had a chance to see this really old but also really beautiful building. While looking at it we were accompanied by a director who'll do a documentary on the German tour.
On the castle grounds they also gave a short interview for this documentary.
Getting back downtown there was only time left to grab something small to eat before the public event started. This event was sponsored by the German-American-Institute in Heidelberg.
